I am going to be purchasing a new plasma here soon and had narrowed it down to the ST60 until I did a little browsing and found that I can get a 65 inch ST50 for $100 cheaper than the 60 inch ST60. The 65 ST50 is from the amazon warehouse and is described as "like new", it ships free with my prime and also has no tax. I certainly trust Amazon more than most companies but still can't help but be a little concerned with buying anything but a brand new TV. Given the extra 5 inches of screen and the cheaper price tag though, assuming all was well with TV, it seems to me the ST50 would be a better value for me in this case. Is there a major picture quality difference? Has anyone ever bought a TV from the Amazon marketplace? (it is shipped and sold by amazon not a 3rd party) Is there anything else i should know or be considering here? thanks for much for any input!!

I also have a problem with buying used televisions. I have the ST50 and I think it is a great television but as of right now I'm mostly using it for gaming and having watched any Blu-rays on it. The ST60 is said to have a great picture quality, even better than the ST50, but the input lag is supposedly not so good with the ST60 if you're a gamer. What will you be using the television for? Will you be doing any gaming?

HDTV: Panasonic TC-P50ST50
Speakers: Bowers & Wilkins 685
Receiver: Sony STR-DA80ES
Blu-ray Player: Playstation 3
Power Center: Monster HDP 1800

I currently mostly PC game but do plan on buying a next gen xbox and/or Playstation so I definitely may use those on the TV as well. That seems kind of sucks that the newer TV has more issues with input lag than last years model.. i wonder what they changed that made that happen

I think I would pick screen size over really quite marginal increases in PQ which you won't notice once you have the ST50 (because you won't have an ST60 sat next to it to compare to wink.gif) smile.gif
