Thanks for the note!

Yes, this is a living room set. My head sits about 8-9 ft away from the TV and I have very good eyes. Main uses for the set are OTA (720p & 1080i), Chromecast (1080p - Netflix, HBO GO, etc), Movies (1080p) and Super Smash Brothers 4 (1080p & 60fps native).

Despite the bigger size, the added resolution actually gives this set a better ppi than the 43f4500. Coupled with my acute eyes and sitting distance, I think there will an apparent sharpness difference. Likewise, the TV, like most of the content I view, is native 1080; no image scaling

Hi guys, I have a question.

I will be away for a few days during the holidays and I figured it would be a good chance to break in my new TV with some color slides; especially since I game a lot and I don't want logos sticking around.

I downloaded 20 1080p color images of various levels of Red, Blue, Green and White here. The PN43F4500 has a slideshow mode for photos on a usb device that seems to loop infinity at ~7 sec intervals so I am assuming the PN51F5300 will be the same. Do you think this should suffice if I leave it on for 4 days?

These are the images:

For gaming, I have to go with the F4500s. They are better for EVERYTHING below the Xbox One and PS4 generations. WAY better, in my humble opinion.

Price, the 5300 is $100 to $150 more.
So then, how much (if at all) better is the PN51F5300 for gaming on Xbox One and PS4? I bought a F4500 last month and love it, but am still questioning whether I should've gone with the F5300. I sit about 8.5 to 9 ft from my TV.
