You don't have to wait on 4k. It's already here. Well, content may not be but the displays are. The problem besides the lack of content and the future problem of producing & delivering content is the fact that all 4k units are inferior LCD technology. Plasma yields better overall picture quality & the ZT is one of the best plasmas ever made in that respect. If your setting & use is appropriate for plasma--not a lot of gaming or static logos and not an especially bright room--you'd be better served getting a ZT, if you can find one.

Your really late in the game man, no offense. Hope you can find one at a reasonable price but at this point your going to spend at least 3500-4000$ and that's wishful thinking. Idk whatever happened with the Best Buy in Orlando but last I saw they had like 20 ZT60 at there warehouse but they are prolly
Gone.

I will have the lady at BB run a inventory for me and see what there is, if there is any.

Any wagers on how long before Self complains? I bet he'll find something wrong with this new one within a couple of days.

I'll be very interested to hear about your experience. We'll be moving in July. I've kept the ZT box and foam but am not sure I can put it all back together. I heard movers will bubble wrap TVs anyway...

Request they put the TV in an armor pack. In my move from Fla to Tx, the cost was $25 for each TV shipped in an armor pack. The relo company contracted with a 3rd Party Company to pack each of my plasma and LCD TVs. The movers just put the TVs on the truck after the 3rd Party Company packed the TVs. The 3rd Party Company also came by the new house and unpacked and turned on the TVs to make sure they worked. Armor packs are better than just bubble wrap alone. The armor pack may even be better than using the original box since the TV is protected by soft foam and not harder styrofoam.

Wow dude you have more issues than I do. And I'll post my numbers when I get a chance. If this goes back it because of whatever reason it was returned in the first place. Bringing it home setting it up popping Avatar in and that's about it as far as I'm concerned.

I only own one 3D movie, The Avengers. I mainly think 3D is a gimmick but I wanted to try one out at home. I thought it was mostly fun but the model? (CGI?) of the Shield ship looked really fake in 3D. By the way, I used THX Cinema and I thought the light level looked great in a dark room.

I also wanted to comment on PQ in general. We are definitely a picky bunch because the differences in picture quality between the ST, VT, ZT and Sammy F8500 would be lost on most people. Even good backlit LCDs look pretty good these days. Of course, I got a ZT60. If that hadn't worked out, I think I could live with the Sammy. I liked the PQ on my old 50" V10 just fine. This is a nice step up for me but not having seen them side by side, the only thing that really jumps out at me is the size difference.

Here's a handy chart that shows the day numbers for 2013:

http://www.epochconverter.com/date-and-time/daynumbers-by-year.php?year=2013[/quote]

Now if people would start providing the first 4 numbers of their serial numbers along with the panel numbers that would be nice smile.gif

It's the best Full Screen movie I have. Besides the Avengers. Avatar has some nice space scenes. But I may grab Pacific Rim while I'm there. On my way there...praying that if any IR it will go away with time and running content. But with 182 hours on it...I can't imagine it staying permanent it's so young that it has plenty of time to clear
Up and most IR does not bother regular content unless you plan on watching slides
For years.

I do have the Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises on blu ray BUT they are not full screen unless it's an IMAX scene

On the way home with this beast. I'll set it up and let you guys know how it is.

As far as numbers...it's a May build so I don't think your getting much from me as far as informative information your looking for.

Btw I think Avatar sucks plot wise but it has some nice scenes in it. It's a visual movie..looks fake as hell and I can watch about 30 mins of it.
