I recently bought this TV and have been loving it so far. I have one issue though. I have an HTPC and multiple game consoles (PS4, XBOne, etc) all plugged in VIA HDMI into my AV Receiver and output to a single HDMI cable into my TV. My issue is, I want to be able to just quickly turn on game mode (or PC mode. I am reading that PC mode has less lag). On my old Samsung plasma, I just had to go into the menu and enable it but it seems on this one, I have to rename the input to represent whatever mode I want by scrolling through a list. Now, while this isn't terrible, it is VERY annoying.
My initial plan was to hook my HTPC up to the TV and run optical to the receiver for audio and then just setup the input the receiver is going to as a permanent game/pc mode. Well, it works somewhat. It just doesn't transmit all 5.1 channels. It just transmits 2.0 channels. Netflix works fine though. I thought that maybe it was a limitation of optical so I decided to try ARC. I have never used it before but my receiver is compatible so I went through trying to set it up. However, the results are the same as the optical. Netflix gets 5.1 but my HTPC only gets 2.0. I did some more digging and it seems that when I plug my HTPC into the TV directly, it sees that it is only compatible of 2.0 channels so that is all it will output.
Does anyone know of a good solution to this?
