I have to put my TV in a storage unit for about 5 mos. The packing company I am using said I need to box up the tv. Any advice? Do any of the AVS sponsors provide Plasma TV shipping boxes?

Thanks,
Jim

Many moving/packing companies will offer a "crating" service for an additional charge. They come out and build a customized wood crate that fits perfectly and protects the item. They can also put shock and tip sensors on the crate so you can tell if it was ever tipped, dropped or bumped.

My parents had this done for their TV when they moved and I had it done for an antique china cabinet with curved glass. Both items came through 900+ mile moves perfectly.
