Because of a new job opportunity I'll be moving across country from DC to San Francisco and will most likely have to leave my beloved plasma behind. I was looking at the Panasonic P50ST60 as a replacement (since I heard great things about it) but quickly came to two conclusions, 1) a 50 incher will probably be massive for whatever bedroom I end up in, in SF and 2) I have no use or desire for 3D so it seems a bit pointless to pay extra money for technology I'll never use. My primary concern is picture quality, I won't consider a TV without internet capabilities, and need more than two HDMI ports. For the most part I occasionally play some PS3 - typically sports games, watch various types of movies, a fair bit of HBO and other cable programming, and Football on weekends as well as basketball during championship season.

If you need more info feel free to ask, if not I look forward to your suggestions.

Thanks!

Well since a 50 incher is too big for you then the only good Plasma smaller than that is the 42" S60 series, but it only has 2 HDMI inputs, and it doesn't have an AR Filter so it will be a lot more reflective than your G25.

The better/higher-end ST60 series has 3 HDMI inputs but the smallest screen size is 50".

Why can't you take your 42G25 with you to SF?

Mostly because it's going to be too expensive. I'm looking at between 300-400 to have it shipped.

Well it's looking like the 42" S60 may have been discontinued early (same thing happened early last year on the 42" U50 due to lack of interest among retailers). The G25 was one of the best 42" Plasmas ever made (along with the 42" ST30) so if you absolutely cannot make a 50 incher work then it might be worth the cost to move the trusty 42G25 since there are virtually no good options for a 42" TV.
