A couple days ago my 2 year old Samsung PN43D490 died via "the click of death" so I decided instead of trying to fix to get the LG 42PN4500 which was on sale.
What I really liked about the Samsung was I was able to plug in a USB stick and play videos off of it. I tried on the LG and no luck. It seems to only support Audio/Pictures.
I've seen there is a hack to enable the video option but most of that seems to be geared older models. I was wondering if anyone had any info on the newer ones like mine?

✎✎Some subtitles created by users may not work properly.
✎✎The video and subtitle files should be placed in the same folder. For subtitles
to display correctly, the video and subtitle files must have the same name.
✎✎We do not support any stream that contains GMC (Global Motion
Compensation) or Qpel (Quarterpel Motion Estimation).
✎✎Only H.264/AVC profile level 4.1 and lower is supported.
✎✎Video files that exceed 50 GB (gigabyte) are not supported for playback. The
file size limit is dependent on the encoding environment.
