Possible to get a 50-incher?

Ive done my research and it appears to be a Panasonic (Panasonic TC-P50ST60) but there are just too many models to choose from.
Especially considering I am ok with buying previous year's models.

I dont care about any of the bells and whistles as I don't care for 3d and I use an Apple TV to get outside content.

Recommendations appreciated.

Thanks!

That would be the Panasonic ST60, 3D is included but with it comes some improvements in 2D motion picture quality which you would otherwise miss out on

Whats the diff between the st60 and the P50ST60? Is it just the smart TV capabilities? The latter can be had for 999...

Both the model numbers you just typed there are some sort of abbreviation for the ST60 series. If you're in North America, the correct model number is TC-P50ST60 for the 50" size. Last year's model was the ST50 series which is a little inferior to the ST60 in several ways.

Other countries have slightly different model numbers (X or H instead of C, and usually an additional letter suffix after the model number to identify the country of origin, etc).

TC-P55ST60, TC-P50GT50, TC-P46G10, TH-42PZ700U, TH-42PX50U, HP LC2600N, TiVo Series3, TWC Cisco 8742HDC DVR, Onkyo TX-SR333, URC R40 Remote.

Forgive me; I meant to write the S60 vs. the ST60 line.

The ST60 has a significantly better panel, 3D capabilities, and an AR coating on its glass. It also comes with a much heftier price tag and input lag. S60 is an incredible value,if you're on a budget.

I think the input lag is the biggest issue with the ST60. If you want to game at all, I'd go with the S60 over the ST60.
