I've set the Viera link "Speaker output" to "Home theater."
My problem is that the Panasonic TV won't retain the "Home theater" setting. When I switch between sources on my Sony receiver, occasionally the setting will change to "TV." It does not happen often, but it happens often enough that it's an annoyance.
Is there some setting I can change to lock the Viera link audio to "Home Theater" permanently?
Hi, having the same problem with TX p50vt65b connected to yamaha amp. I assume it will be a bug in the vierra link app, unless someone knows different. lets hope it's fixed soon as its very annoying.
I believe I finally figured this out after 2 days of playing with tall the settings, I have a Panasonic 55" Plasma with a Yamaha RX -V675 receiver. GO to your apps bottom on your TV remote and Chose Viera LInk button and Chose "Home theatre". To keep it from changing again, Go to Menu on your remote, then to Setup, then Viera Link Settings and turn it off. This has worked for me. I hope it helps
Just signed up to reply... I struggled with this for the better part of a day. Under apps>viera link>speaker output>home theater would be set, I would power off TV and receiver with my harmony remote, power them both back on with harmony and find that home theater was gone and replaced by TV. In the ehelp pdf I have for my panasonic st60 on page 136 (ehelp>convenience features>viera link hdavi control>viera link menu) I read the line: When the equipment is turned off, the TV speakers take over. I assume this means my harmony has been turning off the receiver first, which disables the home theater setting and changes it to TV. After making sure to turn the TV off before the receiver and turn the receiver on before the TV, it seems to be working for me. Now to figure out how to program my harmony to follow this order every time.
Receiver is a Denon X2000
TV is a Panasonic Plasma VT60
