Hi guys, really appreciate your feedback when I have questions. My question tonight is: Would you pay the extra $700 to get the 65" over the 60"? I have 9 foot ceilings and will probably put my sofa about 12 feet away from the TV.

Little update: I can afford the $700 but if the 5" isnt much of a difference I don't want to spend the extra money

@ 12' viewing distance I would opt for the 65". I have a 60" VT but I only sit 8' from the set

I'm curious about this too I'm comparing the 60" ST60 vs 65" S64 and right now the st60 seems brighter. but I'm wondering if that's only because the st60 is smaller.

I wish someone could do a direct 60st60 vs 65st60 comparison

65ST60 and don't look back. Just spend the extra if this set will be your main tv.

I sit 10" from my 65S64 and pretty awesome PQ but an extra 5in would've been just right for my room.

I think you'll be happy regardless which size you decide.

I say if you can fork out the extra $700.00 go for the 65". I have yet to hear anybody say they wished they'd bought a smaller tv. I sit 6.5 ft away from a 60ST60 and that is perfect for me. A 60" at 12' would seem pretty far. Plus you need to consider that most movies are letterboxed.
