I am having the hardest time troubleshooting a Hitachi 50" plasma TV. The screen turns on displaying a picture then it turns off again. From what I know about Y-SUS and Y-Buffers, the screen fails to display anything in the respective area when one of those is bad. So what on earth would make the TV display a picture and then shut itself off? All the inside components and boards look perfect and the voltages all test correctly until it shuts itself off. This is driving me crazy.

Thx for asking, I've had it connected to CATV by the AIR/CABLE input and to my PS3 by a HDMI input. Both connections produced the same result (see pic) and I have since just been trying to get it to turn on w/o anything connected - though I usually try to reach the menu when I try to turn it on.

It's not that I don't like the "deep space" look, it's just that I have other uses in mind for the TV wink.gif
