By the way I did get the same issue on my LCD TV, I never noticed it but it's there.
The TV is much smaller (36') so it that noticeable.
On a 60' you see the problem.

I do have the option to change the TV, maybe it's time to go LED?
Maybe this problem is not happening on LED?
LED is .. LCD, they changed the back light from fluorescent and changed the name rolleyes.gif

I did frame by frame with a slow-motion during the "flash" please check the difference between the two images.

This can't be normal!

This cause a flicker in the game, it it's happening every 20 seconds or so.

This can drive elephants crazy.

Flash time

Normal picture

rperetz,

Thanks for the pics.

They truly show the strobe lights in action. Look at the shadows and reflections. You can actually extrapolate and determine where the strobe is. Look at the feet of the person standing below the 'Xfinity' banner behind the basket. See the shadow when the strobe is on? Look at the photographer sitting near the 'TD' painted on the floor. See the shadow when the strobe is on? Look at the area on the floor itself at the bottom right of the photos. See the reflection of the strobe itself?

That's how it looks at the Garden when watching a game -- and as I said before -- even without bringing your TV with you. smile.gif

Ok, I am with you on this one.

But here is my 1200$ question if I exchange my Plasma TV to a LED TV would I face the same issue?

Because I do have the choice to exchange my TV if I want to.

You would see the same. That is if the LCD set is showing the picture properly.

But you are asking the wrong person. I have owned 10 HD TVs and all have been plasmas; one 2006 Panasonic, two 2007 Panasonics, two 2008 Panasonics, two 2009 Panasonics, one 2011 Samsung, and two 2013 Panasonics. LCD TV panels and my eyes are not compatible. smile.gif

I could not fix the issue, and I could not get over it.

I will change my TV to Samsung 55" 1080p 120Hz LED Smart TV (UN55F6800AFXZC).

I keep you posted if the issue is still there.

I'd almost bet you'll barely notice, if at all. Post back your findings.

I just got my new LED, and the first thing I did is put a playoff game.

Thanks god the problem is not there.

You do see maybe a "flash" here and there but it's nothing close to what it was before.

Before the picture would really flicker every 10 seconds, Not an issue with LED. Very happy I did the switch.

I can now watch a game normally.

Every game is different, LCD is no different than plasma with this. I said it before, some show it, some don't at all. You'll see it again unfortunately, like Larry said unless your set is not showing the picture properly".

Glad to hear. Yeah, I can only watch most games on my LCD. While I agree the games flashing is various to a degree, I'm glad my LCD displays them improperly:)
