I have never owned nor seen a plasma whilst somebody gamed on it so i got a few questions.

Before breaking in the Plasma i would like to test the motion clarity on games.

+ how long am i able to test it out without worrying on burn ins?

After i break in a Plasma 100/200 hours.

+ Can i play a game session of lets say 4 hours straight without Burn ins?

And a generally question about Image retention:

+ does it also only appear with static images and how long does it take and last?

I also would like to get your guys opinion on:

+ how long do you game on your Plasma and if you are cautious after the break in.

i put more than 5hrs, because i certainly WOULD, if i ever gamed that long...

but there's no reason not to game all day, every day. just try to mix up the games a bit, and toss an hour of full screen content in once in a while.

i use my plasma as my pc monitor. i've done 2-3hrs of computer use straight with no issues on two different samsungs (b530 and f8500)

as for you questions:
1) unlimited. it's very very hard to permanently damage a plasma under normal use.
2)yes, absolutely. you could probably pause a game for 4hrs without getting permanent burn in. you MAY however, depending on the game get faint and temporary image retention. this will go away in minutes of normal use, or the screen wipe feature. it'll probably only be noticeable up close(within 2 feet) or on solid color screens.
3)it depends on the model, you can probably get extremely faint, and basically invisible image retention after 15-30mins of a static image. but usually after an hour or so(on the sets i've owned) it starts to get noticeable from viewing distances on solid color screens. on my f8500, i've only ever noticed slight image retention after surfing the web for an hour or more. there's been no amount of gaming, or video watching that has given me a hint of IR i can see from my 10ft viewing distance.
4)cautious...no. common sense... yes. you don't need to be paranoid, turn the tv off when you leave the room(if paused), use a variety of content every week(make sure you have at least an hour of full screen video playing, or use the screen wipe feature), and if you notice IR, do something to clear it. you'd have to have IR for days(assuming you say play the same game for 8hrs a day for an entire week or something) before it becomes permanent burn in.

If a person were to play the same game for 3-4 hrs. straight how long would you need to run the screen wipe thingy to ensure any traces of IR are removed. Don't have any myself just a general question.

obviously depends on the tv and amount of IR, but i'd say anywhere from about 10mins-1hour would be 'average'.
