I have found a new firmware for this TV, and i think there is a new firmware for the VT20 too.
After install the new firmware, i had the sensasion of having a black level improvement.
Does anyone feel the same way? Or its just my desire to have the original blacks again?

I looked for the update and found it.
dated 10/2010.
I figured I already loaded it.
did some testing to see if it did improve the mll.
first loaded Calman and selected i1Display pro meter.
let meter warm for 30 min.
TV off.
turn on tv with no imput and measured .0055 ftl.
measured at 15 min lengths with no input. stayed at .0054-.0055.
selected and input with content and watched tv in THX.
every 15 min switched to no input and measured .0058
stayed there.

put update card in slot and noticed it was 7.50 ver and said "peaks"

ran update, guess I didn't have it or it would have told me I did.

ran a test on no input, got .0051 stayed there while on no input and 30 mins
went by.
Turned to input with content watched THX mode and measured 15 min.
.0055 and stayed there.
so 8-10% reduction.

the first thing I noticed was a change in the white point.,
there is less green, a tad more red, and more blue.
ran a gray scale before and after and confirmed the change in RGB.
Ran a calibration and blue is increased, green decreased. red slightly increased.
Looking good.
