Agree.

OP - Please share why you chose the ZT60 over any less expensive LED TV. People buy the ZT60 because they want the most accurate true to life picture with the best black levels. If that is not what you are after, why a ZT60?

you should take the zt60 back and get an f8500. That way you can have the brightness of vivid on the zt but with an accurate picture.

It sounds more like the OP likes the fake over saturated cartoony colors and isn't looking for an accurate picture which is why he should have just got a cheap LED.

Have you tried the standard mode"glitch" by going into standard mode and turning the contrast to 100? Like Vivid it skews the blue up greatly but it might be something you can use.

Isn't burnin 6 letters? smile.gif

Seriously, I think this situation is a lot more common than we TV-nerds think. I think there are a lot of shoppers out there buying the ST60, VT60 or even the ZT60 as "experts" keep telling them these are the best TVs. Once at home many will think, "WOW, that image is really dark, lets try another mode! Vivid, that sounds interesting, lets try that....Hello! Now we are talking". I have a plasma myself, but it is very rare that I recommend others to buy plasma unless I really know they will appreciate the picture (most don't unfortunately).
