The TV works great, but when I use any applications (YouTube/Netflix) the screen dims to almost 50% of its normal brightness. I have looked for a setting and searched for answers...

I don't have a ST60 but try changing your energy save mode.

Did the picture setting switch from Cinema (or whatever you were on) to Standard?

Did you check the picture mode while the app was running? The dimming (not reverting to standard, just not set to cinema, or your preferred setting, in each mode) had me pushing buttons until I realized what was happening. On this panel the picture setting isn't global.....

hey when viewing Netflix enter  - Menu / Picture & make sure picture mode is set to Cinema & CATS is off.

If you have tweaked Cinema mode settings for HDMI feed Copy Adjustment to internet aka Netflix/youtube


Display : Panasonic 60ST60

Blu-Ray : Sony BDP S5100

HD-DVR : Directv HR24/100

AVR : Pioneer VSX-1020-K 7.1

Speakers : Polk RM6750 5.1

Center Speaker : Polk TL2
