Hi there,

I upgraded to the TX-P50VT65 from a 42" PX85 Panasonic plasma in October this year as i'd been suitably impressed with the 85s performance. However i'm faced with some issues :

In all source material (HD/SD broadcasts and blu-rays @ 24Hz) - camera panning or motions moving past a fixed camera introduce a very noticeable 'judder' or extra frame behind the actual object - now from the reviews i've read and responses i've gained I get conflicting information - this is either acceptable 'telecine' judder, or a faulty set as its motion should be as smooth as silk. How can some reviews say it has sublime motion handling when it looks shaky / judder / stuttery as soon as something moves?

What are your thoughts?

I currently use THX cinema settings, with sharpness turned down to 0 and all panel processing features off. Broadcast source is free view and free view HD, blu-ray sources are PS3 / PS4.

Regards

Anthony.

AVS Forum covers North American models, but TX-P50VT65 is not a North American model so it's not likely you'll find any owners here.

Since your model numer doesn't have a B at the end of it i presume it's an Australian/NZ model, and if so it would be more similar to the UK and European models (all of which are 240 volt / 50Hz). NA models are 120 volt / 60Hz.

There is a good UK-based Plasma forum that covers UK models and most European models so maybe you'd have better luck there:
