I forget the term for that effect but it's something along the lines of "dirty picture syndrome" and it's common to plasma's from what I've read in another thread. The longer you use the set the more it fades away. I think someone had asked if they were better off getting an LED and the answer was no. I wouldn't know, and I'm not suggesting what you should do, but yeah, it's a common problem that gradually goes away. If I can find the thread here where I read that I'll post a link.

EDIT: Here ya go. This should take you right to the post:

Thanks for the link man that's one of the biggest things I was concerned about is if it would fade a bit after time.

It happens across different brands, even Panasonic from what I read in the earlier posts. I'd rather have that, which fades after a while, than stuck pixels. I don't have any but I have one on my computer monitor display and it's distracting sometimes.

The thing is I've read a lot of other forums and sites that says the dse doesn't get better with time. If I take this tv back and exchange for a different model at least I'll have another 90 day's to see if its a good enough set for me. This time I'll run the break in slides immediately and try to get 400 hours into it in 2 months to see if I can get it pretty uniform. Besides from what I've read the Sammy has slightly better picture than the Lg plasma. I ran a few dse tests from youtube earlier today and man was it ugly it was like a sandstorm in some spots lol.Btw for the guy that got a few stuck pixels , how is it you find those dead or stuck pixels? I'm not looking for a perfect display just one that's a little better in the uniformity area.I don't mind some dse but not all these spotty areas all over the place, not even my panny plasma made in 2006 has dse like this LG tv has.

Even if the Sammy has dse as bad as the LG at least it has a bit better colors and blacks, I just hope it doesn't have any dead pixels. My old panny still has no dead pixels, it is a sweet tv but it's only 50" and 720p and I wanted a 60" with 1080p for my ps4.If the next set has just as much dse but no dead pixels then I will just keep it and hope the dse fades in time because I really don't want to keep exchanging tv's every few month's.

yes the samsung is better pq then the lg , i suggest 14 hrs of full content be it slides or logo free content ,daily . 14 x 14 is short of 200 hrs . 1:85:1 is widescreen without black bars. and i found the stuck pixels when i was very close to the screen watching weeds on mp4 file * this is a 60 inch*
