Do you ever sit closer to the TV when watching letterboxed movies, so that the picture doesn’t look small? How close do you sit to the TV when you're watching Ben-Hur in its original aspect ratio?

Do you ever sit further away from the TV when watching standard definition movies, so that the picture quality looks better?

Do you sit closer to the TV when watching your favourite movies and TV shows?

Or do you always watch TV at the same distance?

Only time I moved my couch to be closer to a movie was to watch Gravity 3D. Moved about 7 feet centered to my 65" TV. Otherwise I sit about 9 feet with my couch placed on each side of the TV.
