Used Pioneer Elite Pro-111FD or new TV

Looking for a bedroom TV that will be used for watching tv and occasionally movies. Found a local used pro-111 fd for sale and wanted to see if you would recommend this or a newer tv (if so, which).

I have a Pro-151FD in my living room as part of my home theater setup, so I know how good these sets are. Just some concern with buying a used one.

I'd go new. I'm always skeptical of buying used any brand unless it's dirt cheap.

Except it's not any 'ol used brand, it's a Pioneer. The build quality is at least AN order of magnitude better than anything out their right now

Might as well buy it, you can diagnose problems easy with 2 sets

I keep forgetting.

Well, the new TV comes with a warranty. Witha Pioneer you don't need a warranty

Don't be cheeky, eh? JUUSSTTT kidding. Seriously though, he just needs to be able to inspect it the evening for red tint and then he's good to go.
