Panasonic G25 audio out

I just joined Netflix and I am using optical out of the g25 to my receiver. Ota works great at 5.1 from the tv but when I switch to viera cast Netflix I only get stereo? Anyone know why, thanks

normal. something to do with Panasonic not wanting to pay Dolby for the rights.
Quite a few TVs are that way.
I forgot the work a round.

so you have spid out to AVR?
I think the AVR can "fake: dolby using PCM?

correct, OTA will pass dolby.
your set is normal.
I remember threads about how ridiculous it was to not pass it when on the internet.

if you have an internet capable Bluray player, you might try that thru the AVR?
