When i get this tv and it will be soon, i will have to mount the stand that comes with it.. should i lay the screen on a coffee table with soft towels and mount the stand or should i do it on the floor. I don't know if i have much room to do it on the floor. Any problem laying it face down on a coffee table and mounting the stand or would it be ok.
The guys that set mine up lifted it from the box into the stand that came with it while still on the floor. Fastened the stand and then lifted it onto the AV stand
I actually put the 64" stand on myself by laying the TV down on some cushions. It sat on the floor for a few days until I could get some help to lift it on a TV table I purchased. There's no way I would have attempted to lift it on the table myself.
Move the TV? Move it where? I cut up my box into smaller pieces and put it in the recycle trash bin, it's way to large to hold on to.
And yeah, you need two people to put the TV on the stand unless you want to lay it down flat, but even to do that, you'll need two people. You can pick up the TV to move it by holding it by the edges, but trying to lay it down by yourself would be awkward and not recommended.
Do you guys think the PN64F8500 will fit on this stand?. This is the stand i'm using for my current UN55B7000 LED Tv. The plasma may stick out on the sides but will it fall or rock back and forth or do you guys think it will be ok?.
Should be find as the TV stand is 12.6" in depth and that piece of furniture is 20.20" in depth. It will stick out on the sides though as the TV is 58.4" wide and your furniture is 49.90", I think it will look a bit funny, hopefully it's a temporary setup?
Yeah temporary. do i have to update the new firmware with a USB or can i do it with a ethernet cable hooked up to the internet?. Will it update the latest firmware? or give errors?.
what do you guys think 2015 will bring.. do you think oleds around 60-65 inches will be around 3-4 grand or more?.. do you think they still need time to mature and drop down in price?. i read a 65 inch 4K oled by LG for 7 or 9 grand. Thats expensive.
Hey guys, I got an email that my TV will be shipped out tomorrow. Do you guys think i should email the company and ask them if their delivery drivers would help me put the stand on this TV and set it on my AV stand?.. Or should i ask them this when they deliver it?... I bought it out of province because of the good price. I can't move this myself, it's too big.
