Old Kuro!!!! What would you pay?

Well came across a deal and since OLED is outrageous along with the gimmicky 4k fald and this hu8550 is mediocure, i was looking for some input! Have a 65t60 in the living room, wanted to upgrade my bedroom to a 60" or more. is $900 with the wall mount a good price for a pdp-6010fd?

Depends on the condition and how many hours are on the 6010. I paid $750 for 150 elite that had 9000 hours on it and cosmetically was in perfect condition. I would see if I could get him down a couple hundred bucks

Thanks rc. Going tomorrow night to look at it. Using the display then wait and do left up left right then power TV on will that get me into the menu where I can check for hours. So what would you pay if it was prestige and low hours. It looks that way and is mounted high so I'm sure it's in great condition.

Around $700 if it has low hour

What would you consider a suitable/low hour threshold? And $700 including the beastly wall mount he is including? Those r at least 100-150 alone. Thanks again!

I just paid $1k for a 3k hour 6020FD and if I wasn't an idiot could have bought a 4k hour 600M for the same price, so your 6010 is probably a bit overpriced at $900 but obviously condition/picture quality is everything.

So $600 would be good and $700 max, depending upon being in good condition and low hours. Also are you considering the wall mount he is including! Thanks for your help!

yes that would be a good price if the tv is in good shape.does the tv come with original stand and speaker I would rather have this original stand and speaker then the Wall mount. If all he has is a wall mount it's kind of a trade-off for the original stand and speaker. I hope it works out for you good luck

Speaker yes, remote yes, but no stand, just the wall mount which is how I'd utilize it anyways.

Then I wouldn't figure in the cost of the wall mount because you're missing the original stand so it's like a trade-off. So whatever you offer him it's just for the TV because a stand would cost every bit if not more than a wall mount unless it was a $400 wall mount. Of course when you go to look at it make sure there's no burn in or dead pixels. Let us know how it works out

Sweet deal GB!!!! Ok just saw the TV. Great to pristine shape. 5777 hours on the panel. No IR, ran d-nice slides and everything looked good. Did the red tint test with no signal and looked good but I noticed that on that test Some like weird looking almost up and down Areas almost like audio waves look or a lie detector going up and down in a tight cluster, none went all the way up or down or side to side the screen and kinda like two areas like a 1/3 down from the top and a area a 1/3 up from bottom ...I don't know how to explain it. But on the black slide and all other slides those areas looked fine. Any idea? Also he said $600 I could have it. What do you think I should do? Might be able to go $500.

Boy that's a good question without seeing exactly what you're describing it would be hard to give you an answer to that. Did you play any movie content to see if the problem occurred when watching a Blu-ray movie? As far as the price $600 seems fair seeing that it only has 5777 hours that's not a lot of hours

Unfortunately no, he is moving out of the house and everything is out but his TV's that he is selling. I ran d-nice 1080p slides and the anamolies weren't there. Only visible up close and at a black no signal screen like when testing for the red tinted blacks issue. Maybe the black blobs people are referring to? Guess I'll take my blu-ray player when I go get it and throw a dark movie on and see if they are visible. If not I guess I'll grab it if he will do $4-500 per your help and advice! Thanks so much for assisting!

That's too much for a non-ELITE model. For reference, I got my ELITE 111FD for just $800 and it was lightly used. --- Right now it's sellers market for the 2007-2009 model Kuro ELITE and Kuro monitor series.

Yes but if he can pick it up for five or $600 With only 5700 hours on it I don't think that's a bad deal

Kind of wonder what a 151fd with 12k hours is worth, on the topic of used plasma deals.

Thanks, that was the info I've been looking for. RC has been very helpful and as he stated I'm down to 5-600 with the seller and might go lower since he is selling the house and just doesn't want to move it to his new one. So you think 4-600 with 5777 hours on it is acceptable?

5777 hours is nothing in the life of a plasma TV. But there's no guarantee how long the TVs going to last because the hard fact is it a used TV it could last a year could last five years it's a risk but I think at $600 it's not a huge risk

I wonder what a 151fd with 862 hours would be worth. That's what my 151 has on it

Yeah, and I'm a diy guy and replacing a board or power supply wouldn't scare me. Just as long as the panel stays good. I think I'll grab it he said 600 already but I'll say 400 and after I check a blu-ray on it. Was gonna go today, brought 300, Prometheus and dark knight. Have any good scenes that I could use to check the blacks in? Also I know interstellar there is a good black scene and I might buy that too. Thanks

So I know I'm late to the club by 7 years but I'm now a proud owner of a kuro. $550 so what the heck. 60" with the same pq as my vt60 but WAY cheaper and a legend! I think it was worth it! The anomaly I was referring to is just noise in the picture. Impossible to see during regular black viewing. Unless your 2" from the screen but I don't sit that close! Thanks for your help again RC!
