The only thing that bothers me about my Vt65 is the sound, I have a soundbar, Yamaha, but it still is not what I expected. What other set up can I try at a reasonable cost to enhance the sound, maybe separate L,R and center speakers? My room is not that big but I think the sound should better. Any suggestions? Thx.
What's your budget? Do you listen to music or is this just for movies/TV? How big is your room/does your space open up into another space? Do you have the desire to experience surround sound? How important are aethestics?
That's good. What model Yamaha soundbar are you using? I'd also be interested to look up the specs on that and then compare it to what size room you have.
I'm using a Sony HT-XT1, not a ton of power comparitively speaking.. unless you are comparing it to the 10w my Panasonic has.. then it blows it out of the water. Amazing what a few more watts can do paired with a 4-6" subwoofer.
But my living room is only about 12' deep (from back wall to front, TV mounted on front wall), and at most about 16-18' wide (I really should measure it for real). Point being, not huge. True 8; ceilings, all plaster walls and ceiling, minimal objects to distort or disrupt sound. Doesn't take much to get big pounding sound if the components match for the room size and shape.
The YSP-2200 is a very nice soundbar.. has wonderful surround sound with those beam speakers. I'm glad you got it tuned correctly.
It doesn't sound like your room is all THAT much large than mine (unless you count cubic volume), so that should fill with sound from the YSP nicely.
