Mounting my PN42A450P1DXZA to wall? issue with power cord

Hi folks,
I have the Samsung 2008 PN42A450P1DXZA (heavy sucker) that I am trying to mount to the wall. I got it mounted and able to get the HDMI cable in the back, but I can't fit the power cord. I was going to try and fish the power cord in-wall, but then I read that that is a code violation. So, next thought is...do they make smaller power cords for these TVs so I can swap and try to fit? My eletrical recepticle is directly behind the TV (also have one near floor of wall but I don't want to show the cord going down there).

Looking for tips and advice on how to get the power cord hidden behind the TV AND connected to that recepticle.

Thanks,

Thanks,
Google "recessed electrical outlet". There seems to be quite a selection of these things available, so perhaps replacing your existing outlet with a recessed one will allow the power cord to fit behind the TV.

Edit: Here's a YouTube video about doing this specifically for wall-mounted televisions:
