colored vertical lines on screen

Hello,

Make: Samsung
Model: PN50B450B1DXZC
Pictures: http://imgur.com/a/wG0rf

I have vertical lines that are multicolored and go through the menu, as well as appear on the test screen. I have tried cleaning the connections, updating firmware, using a different plug/power bar but it all failed.

I have also found a blow capacitor on the power board. Would that be causing the issue?

Is this fixable?

Cheers,
Tom

According to a guy I met who services TV's and Samsungs....no.

It's the lousy quality of the circuitry and it happens at random. He does say it could fix itself based on temperature changes, don't ask me why.

I have the same issue with a blue vertical line on a Samsung 51E7000 plasma that seemed to occur after a power surge. I wonder also if there could be a blown capacitor or some other circuitry that could be repaired.

I was told it's the DISPLAY, not any caps or circuit board parts that could be replaced.
