Samsung PN60F8500 died ST replacement TV help

Hi folks, so i filed a claim with ST and they deemed my PNF8500 can't be repaired and instead they want to replace it. They will allow me to keep my old tv btw. Their first offer was a 60 inch LED Ks8000 4k, i respectfully declined it and they are now offering me a LG OLED55B6P. It smaller in size, what do you guys think, should i accept it? I went to BB this morning to look at the TVs and they all look like super amoled samsung phones lol so bright nothing like my beloved 8500. I'm not sure if i should accept the OLED55B6P their offering, i mean i was really hoping for a payout instead. My custom entertainment center was built for a 60" so a 55" might look stupid in there. The TV will be in a bright open floor plan family room. Rarely gets anytime me time always dedicated to Disney Chanell because of my kids

thanks in advance everyone!

What's wrong with the 8500? Just about anything can be fixed except a bad panel. I was going to say that going down in size doesn't make sense and you should kick in the extra money for a 65. With the entertainment center thing though that makes it a harder thing to figure out.

it shut off on its own intermittently and then now it won't power on at all, the screen was fine. when plugged in there is no red light. I'm thinking its the infamous power board and blue caps on the y board

Wonder why they say it's not fixable. See if they'll let you keep it after you get your new tv. Then you could fix it.

Hey OP. I have a 60F8500 with a cracked screen. If you want I would be happy to discuss making a deal for the internal boards. Unless you are in MN or close, then I would mayne buy the broken TV from you. Feel free to message me if you are interested.
