Which should I get, the 50 is quite a bit more expensive and I am not 100% sure it will fit in my room.

Is the picture quality identical?

Thanks

Same model #'s, yet different sizes, yes, the PQ will be identical.

Go bigger, you won't reget it.

The 50" has a little bit higher of a resilution as well, so I think I will save an extra month and get that.

I think you'll make the right decision. Just make sure the finance minister approves of such a purchase... :p

From 10' you are definitely better off with the 50" if it fits in your space and budget. I also noticed you started another one of those Panny v. Pioneer threads. Trust me, you'll be happy with either one.

Sitting(lying on setee bed) 7 foot from my 50px600 and its sweet and i sit closer when i'm watching hd movies(6 foot) and gaming(3-4 foot)(dod source, mmm), The 50 also has 720p real HD that looks Saweeeet! (1080p too expensive right now, give it 3 years to drop the price lots, then get 1 of them
No contest ,the 50 is the place to be if you can afford it.
Loving mine so far!
Heres a picture of me (Well my feet) lazing watching a winamp tune while the milkdrop visualisation plug in plays its wicked stuff (download it, v worth it, better to come too i hear)

And by the way, pq is not identical, on 42 and 50. 50 is overall better on 1366x768 pixels.
If you got the cash, get this or the p60, in 50. 600 does look better but if you dont need the features who cares about the bezel, its not what you will be looking at, nodody wathes the bezel when the tv is on!
Happy shopping!
