I swapped out my DVI board in the #1 slot for a HDMI board and now the panel no longer accepts commands from my MX-800 remote, with the lone exception of the discrete on-off commands. Everything was fine before the swap and despite a couple of hours in the MX remote software, I cannot get ANY discrete or, for that matter, even any learned commands to work. It's as if the HDMI board screwed up the panel somehow. But that doesn't make sense to me.

Has anyone ran into anything similar? Any suggestions would be helpful since I am baffled by the problem. Especially since the on-off discretes still work, but nothing else!!

Thanks

Mark

I would swap the DVI board back in to see if the problem goes away.
If it does not go away, you may have given the panel an ESD zap during the change.
Swapping the old board back would help you narrow down if the cause is the new board or damage caused by the swap.

Thanks for the suggestion. I took the HDMI board out, but it didn't make the problem disappear. The thing is that the original Panasonic remote works fine for all commands. It just seems to be the discrete and learned commands in the MX-800. I guess it could be the remote, but it is one hell of a coincidence that only those commands for the Panny on the remote stopped working within the 5 mins. it took me to swap the boards. I'm baffled.
