63" 1080p. Nice. Its gonna be a winner with Sammy's new 18bit user control interface for audio/video adjustments.

Any idea where one could pick this up? I've been interested in this set for months now. Kinda tired of waiting around for the Pio 8 Gen 60" which I know will be out of my price range. I just looked at the Samsung 50" last night... looked good without any adjustments. I'm sure much better with adjustments.

THanks.

One of my questions is whether this set will do 24 fps correctly. If so, I may just skip the Pio 8 Gen 60" which I expect to be more than this one.

Does this mean that the 63" Philips 1080P PDP will be using this same panel?

Why is xvYCC only mentioned in the manual and not under features or anywhere else?

I love it (I think), but why is there virtually no really useful information on this TV? 24fps? hdmi 1.3? 1:1? etc. I want to buy it, but ... argh! Anyone?

This TV is specified as measuring 60.2 inches in width and my cabinet is 60.0 in width. What a bummer.

If someone has access to this set can you PLEASE measure the width and see if the specifications are accurate?

Is there any chance the Philips 63PFP7422D will have dimensions that are different than the Samsung's?

Now this is a tv. This tv gives you the same respect that a 50" plasma used to give you two years ago.

I absolutely agree! This is the set that is on the top of my list at the moment. Size is great and list of specs (that are known) seem like a perfect blend. I'm going to wait and see what Pioneer comes out with as far as pricing for the 60" 1080p, Philips releases their 63", and the Panasonic 58" 750 pricing. I figure once these unknowns are out there then I'll decide. But ultimately these are the 4 sets that are on my list. What I want to see is how the Philips 63" will compare to the Samsung 63" - hopefully identical as the glass is the same.

Philips will also have PP 3HD, so it will probably look decent with sd material and a 1,500$ less msrp price than the Samsung. I wish it would come out with 1.3 hdmi and xvYCC, but so far no mention of it, which is a bummer. Has anyone found its user manual in order to clear this out?

Wow, this is an amazing television!

I currently have an HL-P5685W and have loved it over the last two years... but now we're moving to a larger house with a much larger living room (viewing distance will increase a good 3-10 feet throughout the room). I've been hankering for a 1080p television with true 1920x1080 resolution...

I was resigning myself to the idea of a LN-T5265F LCD 1080p, but was disappointed in downgrading the size. Then I checked Samsung's website again today and saw this plasma.

This FP-T6374 is exactly what I want! Perfect! Called Magnolia and put one on reserve for whenever they show up here in Oregon.

I was just taking a look at the official product specification sheet on Samsung's website. On the first page it lists full 1920x1080 native resolution...

But on the second page it says,
Quote:

1024 horizontal x 768 vertical pixel resolution presents video and text with outstanding clarity and resolution.

We think that is a mistake, right?
