I say, if the source is different, the settings can't be the same, they need to be different. If you use the same setting that your friend use, of course it's worse, with the appropriate settings, the PQ is the same.

And please, try to speak danish. My english is bad coz I don't learn english on my country, that's it. My job is to calibrate screen to the ISF norm, I know my job, you can "trust" your eyes if you want. With the appropriate settings, it's exactly the same picture, the sound is bad on the PS3 anyway.

The sound cant be bad on the PS3. dolby and DTS wouldn't allow their codecs to be used in the PS3 if they weren't decoded properly. and it wouldn't be lossless. the only differences between playes and receivers is a volume difference. no one player or receiver adds anything magical to the sound over the other.

Anyway, back to the pictures.

There is a big difference in sound quality between the LX91 and the PS3, the sound on the PS3 isn't bad, that's not what I want to say, but you have too many settings on the LX91, that's why he is better. By the way, the only difference with the LX71 and the LX91, it's just about sound, nothing else, the picture quality is exactly the same, with the same settings. And the PCE 5.1 via the PS3 is not as good as the LX91. But you're right, let's back to the pictures, unfortunaly I dont know how take a good picture... I will try and Post some if they're not too bad.

I've included two photos of my KRP-500M mounted onto a Pio PKD-1012 table top stand I bought from ebay, $60 total with shipping !! Much nicer appearence than the 5020 stand (less speaker). The 5020 has been wall mounted.

Hi guys. I know this probably doesn't belong in this "picture" thread, but does anyone know where the official Pioneer 500M Owners Thread went? The mods ended the old one on July 11th and was wondering if there was a new one started.

I've been searching for a while and can't seem to find anything, other than the old one.

I'm just a new 500M owner {love the TV} and was looking for some picture settings to try {still breaking it in}.

Thanks!

Here are a few pictures of my setup. It's a KRP-600M with out of the box' settings, Orb Audio Mod2 system with a Mod4 center and an Uber Ten Sub. The receiver is the new Yamaha RX-V765, with a Sony BDP-S550 Blu-ray, plus the Belkin PureAV PF30 power conditioner. The TV is mounted to the wall using the Sanus VMDD26B full articulating mount. I've only had the system up and running for a week now and all I can say is that it's everything I expected. Even without tweaking the settings yet the picture is beautiful and the sound out of these small speakers is very good.

These are shots of the opening scene from Resident Evil Extinction (sorry for the glare)

I love the floating design you have there; is the wiring inside the wall or did you cram it into that one tiny black wire going down the middle, lol?

Great pictures, man!

Thanks for the compliment. The mount works great, I pull it out to watch movies and tuck it back out of the way when off., this will help when family i.e. small kids come over. No exposed wires except for the center channel that you see running down the wall. I found some special wire hiding tube that fit perfect for the situation and I painted it to match the wall. The only wiring behind the TV is the main power plug which is in a surge protector and the one HDMI cable that runs from the TV thru the wall over to the wall plate where the Receiver is.

That's legit; I can't even see the the wire-hiding tube: nice paint job.

I need to get me a receiver, they look dead-useful!

Are you using one of the pre-defined modes (Like Movie, Performance, etc.). Those pics, although nice, don't look like you're using the ISF modes. There's a bluish tint there. Or it could be the camera.
