Looking forward to some European high bit rate images...

Zimbalo your images have a slight green/blue push compared to Urga's. Is this the difference between colourspace 1 and 2 ?

I don't notice that - but i am not looking on a calibrated display most times - just an OLED cell/mobile phone most of the time on the forums tbh

Stu take a look at the couch on which Uma Thurman is sitting in Pulp Fiction. Compare the images between Urga and Zimbalo. I like the white point set a little high. I know, blasphemy but I figure D65 is the midday sun with no cloud cover but what happens when the clouds move in ?.... higher kelvin ! So a higher kelvin looks more real to me.

Rob, a few questions.

- Do you know what is dE2000:0.24 on 21pt Grayscale?

- Do you know what is Near Black like this?

- Do you know what is ANSI Contrast like this?

- Do you know what is dE2000:0.52 on Classic Color Checker?

If you have problems in understanding, I can help you

I might be missing the point of taking photos of a Kuro and then viewing them on an LCD monitor but I'll gladly join in...

I recently picked up a PDP-LX5090 which had the 8 blinks fault, now working with one regulator replaced. Has 12,500 hours on it, which from what I gather is huge for a Kuro. And it had a big red tint issue, but with some tweaks in the service menu that issue is gone completely. I'll try to get some pictures of this set on some proper content - but to all worrying, these panels, once voltage tweaked, offer stunning picture quality even upwards of 12,500 hours.

I'll try to get a picture of the black level. It's virtually invisible except with all lights out.

Hey Zimbalo i had my set a KRP 500a calibrated by a ISF and THX trained calibrator thanks and yes i do know all about that stuff, i think your pictures pale in comparison to Urgas offerings and your pictures are full of fizzing and red/green hues, i'm sorry you dont like my opinion as i dont like your pictures, have a good day .

I have never laughed so much!!!
What is this? A Powerpoint slide?
You explain me ... What is the Black full-field? Infinite Black? Show me a measure, not a drawing!

I understand ... The following images are from Photobucket Robert MacLennan:

Before it was so ...

Then it has become so ...

Finally, it is so ...

Very interesting Rob ... Klein K10, ISF, THX ... Please, explain me ... explain me ...
