Compairsion photos are better.
there you can see the differences between two calibrated tvs.

this is why i keep this old KRP
Contrast
High Contrast with no issues
thats how a tv should be
you have higer PPI on the Samsung 4K but its lower contrast makes it look flat and 2D.
with higher blacklevel colors dont ge deep enough to pop out of the screen.

2014 vs 2008 Blacklevel

which tv of these has higher microcontrast?
can it been seen in the photo?

all photos are HDR except for the one with the blacklevel comparision.
there you use longer exposure time to catch any possible glow.
this long exposure time are also used in the HDR photos to get details from 0 black.

all details from 100% white to 0 blacks are captured with HDR
HDR is the only choice if you dont want to put up photos with fake blacklevels and contrast. (which seems to be important to some)

and no HDR photos can NOT get a cheap LCD to look like the Kuro LOL
with a single shot you can fake the blacklevel and make an LCD to look like an OLED it but it will also look fake with crushed blacks, reduced dynamic range and lost details on the photo.

Other people can post you know or are you happy with the monotony of these two?

I don't own a Kuro, but want to share some pictures of my ST60 for the sake of variety and for the peaceful get together of plasma fans and or owners.

I love this Kuro picture thread. Keep on going!

@ all clear

Very interesting comparison. The Kuro looks just breathtaking real, which is just what the Kuro is made for.

@ all clear I don't have any problem with you, you are a breath of fresh air on here, I too have posted pictures but getting it right is a pita to be honest, I am just bored with the monotony of the usual suspects, yeah I get it let someone else have there shots shown yes?

See I can do it too :-p

But I will bet some smart ass has a problem with it!!!

Did you see my post on the last page? Please read it. Your argument is flawed and makes no sense. There are reasons why few people take pictures these days. It's not hard to figure out.

Yes I saw it, I have no comment to make upon it, is it compulsory to answer?
