Yeah i noticed but there are others that are still there that started this whole pointless argument.

Whatever, you're the mod. I hope you pay attention to kuro threads and see how they get sidetracked by the same people any time OLED is mentioned.

And yet, you're the one who brought up oled in the first place? And you still never responded to Vader's inquiry.

Just sayin

You see what i mean, Pooper?

And tell me that post makes any kind of sense at all. The person saw a normal non inflammatory opinionated post they didn't like and decided to insult me.

I have a pioneer 101 and 151 , I had a OLED EG 9600 , NOT taking into account the lack of screen uniformity , very very very slight vignetting and problems just above black ,not taking those issues into account I prefer the Kuro PQ , the EG was very good and amazed me at times but I sold the EG9600 and have a C6 on the way, Round 2 , ding ding

They just told on themselves. Wow.
Or you could just answer the question of if you've ever seen an oled that was properly set up. You've given every indication that the answer is no (or that you've even seen one outside of a showroom floor environment).

You speak in generalities that can neither be proved or disproved. Since that is your comfort zone and is what allows you to sleep at night, maybe you should just avoid intellectually critical/stimulating excercises altogether.

My first 9100 panel had almost no vignetting but had the 'jail bars' which were visible on pans in <3ish IRE scenes.

This one is almost completely free of bands but has slightly more vignetting. Better shadow detail overall than the first one somehow so I'm ok with it.

Actually shows as much/more shadow detail than my dnice calibrated Kuro (the voltage tweaks can make shadow detail marginally less visible) WHILE maintaining absolute black

The picture I posted is of my two 5020s. The one on the right has deeper blacks. It's a 2009 (as opposed to the 2008). Some say that even the 5020s made later have deeper blacks. Hard to verify given my sample size.

Thank you Zimbalo! I also noticed that Color Space 1 was best to use because with a proper LUT you can get the REC709 points perfect if you want while with Color Space 2 Red is under saturated even when calibrated and magenta shows more error for me too. Did you notice this too that Pioneers internal processing of the native gamut in Color Space 2 shows these errors with limited control in fixing them due to the way the CMS is designed (even in ISF profiles)

Gonna have another run of Calibrating tonight with my i1Display Pro & Calman 5 + MobileForge to Apple TV (4:4:4).

At first I use Jeti Specbos profiled i1Display Pro + Calman 5 software + Ted's disk (Window 11.11% without APL patterns) to calibrate Luminance Peak, Gamma and RGB balance with these parameters:
Pure Mode/ISF Day - RGB 16-235 - Color Space 1 (Native Gamut) - Gamma 2 (Pure), Gamma all 0 (ISF)
Contrast 37 (Pure), 27 (ISF) - Brightness 0 - Saturation 0 - Tint 0
CMS all 0 - RGB High-Low -4 0 -2 0 0 0 - All filters off
In this way, I get luminance peak (by Window 11.11% without APL) 103 nits (Pure) or 125 nits (ISF) for Night/Day vision.

Then I create my LUTs (with Gamma 2.2 - 2.4) by DisplayCal + madVR patterns: in workflow I don't run 1DLUT, but only 3DLUT (2.500 - 3.500 patches).
I load LUTS on eeColor and check the result by Calman:

Ya know, I always look at this thread and marvel at what I see. Then after a few seconds, I remember that what I'm seeing is on my computer screen that is actually a 26" Vizio TV! I can only imagine how impressive the real thing must be.

^^You didn't like Chris Nolan's envisioning of Batman? Not "super" enough? That trilogy is hard to beat, IMO.
