thanks Mathesar for going through all the trouble. I'm using my TV half the time hooking up to the laptop for movies/web surfing/programming. Here are some Ace Combat pics.
I tried to take decent pics, but it's hard. Since i don't have freeze feature, i had to hold the controller/stick with one hand to take the right angle, and hold the camera in the other hand to take the shots. We have to work hard to get these pics. LOL

It seems we have a big improvement in displays and maybe digicams too.
I can not remember better looking photos online. I can remember folks blaming PC monitor calibration differences for poor color rendering. It seems our monitors are not as big a factor anymore.
I do see some vignetting on the plane shots, assuming it's cam and not display related.

Nope, calibrated myself with HCFR. This display is amazing. I may still get it pro calibrated in a month or two if I can find a good calibrator in the Va Beach area. I couldn't be happier Roman, thanks!

I recently watched Beowulf HD on my 5080 and it was a much better movie than I expected, It also really shows off Kuro's black level capabilities

a couple bonus shots for yall wanting to see shots from this scene. Note to mods, jolie is not nude in this scene. If offensive, I will remove. The shots came out crappy because of the damn scan lines and it was paused in movement, but you get the idea. I also noticed my last shots were taken with my brightness on 0, when it should be on 2.

I tried getting a decent shot from planet earth but my camera has issues with color accuracy / shadow details.. Then again it was only $300 vs. cybertec's Nikon SLR

Edit: TV is a 5080 via Canon G6 camera

Now that you mentioned it, overall the color looks a bit cool. Otherwise everything else looks good.

Finally redid the ht. No more dlp, no more huge tv stand, no more bw spkrs (this one I miss).

Hello kuro and def tech mythos 10. The wall mounts for the spkrs were a pain.

Just want to share my final set up. Built-in cabinet that rolls out of the niche for easy access. Pro-150FD that is floating, VSX-94TXH, 95FD, AppleTV, DirecTV and B&W speakers. Very happy with the end result. Picture doesn't do it justice. Now I really just need a quicker loading BD to come out from Pioneer. Greg

Is it just me or are there purple & green patches throughout each of these pics? Most prominent on the critter & ape shots. Is that Moire?
