Just pulled the trigger and plugged it in... with barely any settings changes i'm blown away... question, with the speakers removed can I lower the TV on it's stand as it sits a little high on the base?

Also, how about wiki's or threads for calibration, updates etc?

Check out the calibration forum here and you will learn a lot and if you want to go through with a full calibration

this is quite the TV gentleman... and under $1700 @ BB if you know how to do it.... I enjoyed my Samsung and all, but this clearly is on a whole new level.

Had a few people over already, it's jaw dropping can't talk shocking with just the small adjustments I've made (it's hard to make this set look BAD)

IMO for 50" this is hands down the only choice

Those offers are normally linked with a 2 yr. service agreement with Directv®.
I'll bet if you read the fine print, you will find that if you stop service early, or fail to activate the account, you will be chagred a 250.00 fee.
Now if they let you pay for the entire purchase with cash, and took no credit card information from you, your pretty much in the clear.

they don't even verify you set up the service, they dial 1-800-DIRECTV and hand you the phone, no code needed at the end of the phone call or anything... this has been going on for MONTHS, check out www.slickdeals.net

i may keep the service because i haven't been happy with cable, but i got a few days to decide ultimately
