Good recommendation though. You don't often see those cables in use (or recommended). If I had a 48-bit TV (whatever that is) I'd want one (or three) of these, too.

OK, I have to ask - Deepdeep1, could you please define "line quality" for us people who don't understand?

Otto, I hope it comes through in the words, but I've been enjoying this. So, thanks for the comments :-)

A good engineer knows there are always new things to learn. I'm very much looking forward to learning about "line quality". The quality of a line...hmmm...

At $90, this is way too cheap to be good right? Besides he has to have 48-bits. That's a standard speed cable so he might only get 46.5-bits.

(I know for such a short distance, of unknown feet, it should work fine but then again so should the Monoprice).

We were at a group picnic and it started to rain. I was standing under a large tent canopy waiting for it to stop. She came along with a plate of food (hers), and a can of pop, also hers, and was trying to juggle both and eat. She simply said, " Here, hold this!", handing me the pop. Well, what was I going to do when a cute (then) little blond dropped that line on me?

The rest is history.

Wait. . . this isn't the type of line we're talking about here? But then, what is?

Well, how about a line of string? Hemp makes a very high quality string even tho I've heard it makes the "sparkle" problem that some see on their tv's worse

Monster cable might be able to add more bits to that cable if you custom order one, it may cost extra though.

You didn't scroll down the page far enough. I got extra bytes for my bits at a reasonable cost.

Those enjoying this thread should read this,
http://www.wireworldcable.com/not_ones_and_zeros.html

Wow, talk about a snake-oil salesman - just mix a bunch of terms thrown together and maybe no one will actually realize that it makes no sense.

deepdeep1, you have to ask for Handmade Monster cable. It's a special type that they don't normally advertise. It's kind of like Rhino Handmade except for cables instead of music. They have one factory located in Bora Bora. Actually factory is a bad term since each cable is handmade - hence the name. It's much easier to substitute a mini-connector that way and they only charge by the wire length. Last I heard Handmade Monster's rates were around $1550.59 per 1/4 meter of HDMI cable. They'll attach any type of connector to the HDMI cable - even RCA plugs, if you want analog output.

The really good part is that since the cable is handmade, they can include or not include features that you want or don't want. For instance, if you don't want 3D getting in the way of your audio signal, they can tune the cable so that the 3D bits are attenuated through the electromagnetic force and therefore won't disturb any downstream equipment. If you want 48-bit or 64-bit deep color, they can adjust the quantum fields within the cable so that these bits have an easier time getting through. After all, an HDMI cable isn't like a computer cable where just packets are being sent but instead continuous streams of 1s and 0s are being sent. Without proper quantum field fluctuations, this might cause jitter and you would only get 32-bit deep color or your line quality might suffer.

I've heard that the Monster Handmade manufacturing process is state-of-the-art and uses superluminous neutrinos to help in sealing the cable against leaking bits and to reduce judder and jitter. The neutrinos get to the destination device before the video signal has been sent and can fix any timing issues that could cause jitter. It's really quite revolutionary and many people believed it couldn't be done.

I hope you were able to follow all that. To get Monster Handmade, you actually have to call up their 800 number and ask for the Monster Handmade representative. A lot of people there don't even realize that Monster Handmade exists.

BTW, the only cable we've mentioned so far that you can actually purchase that meets your specs is the very inexpensive High Speed Monoprice cable. You might try wasting $5 and see if it doesn't actually work (and work well). Or we can send you to more places that sell $5 cables for $600. Your choice...(BTW, don't tell anyone that I told you but you really just need a high speed cable with a mini-HDMI connector on one end and an HDMI connector on the other. The term "High Speed" means that it supports deep color - any bit level you want - and the color space you keep mentioning. The cable doesn't know what it is sending. But don't tell anyone I told you, please.)

Just what are you going to connect with the cable, anyway?

OK, how about this one? I know it is less expensive than your minimum desired price, so send me $50 and I will have one drop shipped to you. Better yet, send me $200 and we will both feel even better.

So if we want clear communications here, we need to follow the example as set by the master himself.
