Hello all,

I am planning to get a "high speed" hdmi. I was just wondering if the AWG makes any different with 3D content. I'm guess guess "no," but haven't see anything specifically about 3D.

Considering 28 and 24 AWG @ monoprice. 24 AWG is twice the price of 28 - but 28 AWG comes with those ferit cores... I remember those putting stress on the HDMI port of my old Onkyo rc-120.

Thanks!

PS- Monoprice seems to have two of the same 28 AWG HDMI cable... but one is ~$3.50 and one is ~$2.50. Anyone know if there is a difference of some sort, because I looked through all of the description and didn't find anything.

A high speed cable is capable of handling any HDMI signal. All other things being equal, a cable with larger wire should be able to perform adequately at a longer length, at least to some degree.

Ah ok. Thank you. So I'll go out on a limb and say that both should work equally well at 6'.
