Has anyone checked out this site before, do you guys think these reviews are legit? http://hdmi-cables-review.toptenreviews.com/

I was all set to either buy the Monoprice cables, or the Mediabridge Ultras from Amazon, but then I found this site. According to their reviews, the Cmple cables appear to be the best budget cables, has anyone had any experience with Cmple cables before?

Thanks!

Not sure about the Cmple cables but I have three mediabridge cables connecting my 64in Samsung plasma, Pioneer 921 receiver and Sony Blu Ray. Haven't had any issues with them over the past two weeks. I was pretty happy about the price for three cables!

I'll second the MediaBridge cables. I've been using three (two 6' cables and one 4' cable) High Speed HDMI cables (with certification) for almost 9 months now and they've been perfect.

I haven't until now. Consider this statement from one of their reviews

"Ferrite is an oxygenated iron alloy that doesn't compare to the high-purity copper conductors used by the best cables we reviewed."

The statement is referring to the ferrite cores found on some HDMI cables. The reviewer is confusing them with the actual conductors. He is a technical idiot.

So, without going any further, anything these folks say is not to be trusted.

This site is total BS. It seems to be nothing more than some idiot reading manufacturer's literature and misinterpreting most of it. A perfect example is the Audioquest review where one of the CONS is "Although its connectors are made of quality copper and silver, they will corrode over time since they are not gold plated.

Audioquest is talking about the conductors (wires) which the reviewer assumes to be the same as the connectors (which everybody gold plates)

Arrrrrrgh!
