Ok art is my not my forte so let me try to describe a little better. Gaming on a pc connected to display video via dvi . Getting audio via optical connected to avr from pc but he has this disabled on pc because he uses a headset. STB is connected to the avr vcr/dvr input via HDMI and connected to display via HDMI from monitor out on avr. So he can not watch tv and game at the same time obviously. I want to keep the ability to use the monitor connected to the avr in the surround setup so if he wants to use that monitor for tv watching he can . So what I'm asking is with a second display wall mounted can I split the signal from the STB out to that display ? The STB would only be sending it's signal to the second display. He could not use that display in the surround set up because audio from that display is not connected to avr. The STB still would only be sending it's signal to one display . Remember video while gaming is connected via dvi to display. So can I Y off the STB to the secondary tv so he can watch tv and continue gaming on the other display? Would it have to be a mechanical switch on the y off the STB so the STB knows which display to send its' signal to. I hope I have described my question better and not created more confusion. Thanks.
