I apologize for the uninformed question, however does there exist display devices that can be operated without a seperate power cable (120V)? Am I way off base when thinking this is part of the intention of these two standards (HDBaseT, DisplayPort). Thinkings in terms of one cable does all solution (Power, Video Signal).

There was also a recent thread where someone wanted to run just HDBaseT to their TV (no power cable). There was concensus that only professional grade equipment had power inputs from HDBaseT. I suspect you would see this mostly for small digital signage .
