I have an Epson 5010e that comes built-in with wireless HDMI. I did not realize and total home theatre package already includes an HDMI cable. When tech came out for installation, he did not run the cable and told me the wireless connection is excellent and I could get a refund on the cable to save some money. I think this might had been a bad decision as I kept running into disconnection every once in a while (roughly 1 out of 3 movies). Any other similar user experience? I am about to spend extra to get it hardwired.

Very bad decision. Try this thread:

Bottom line is there is no actual Wireless HDMI product that meets a Wireless HDMI standard. Each manufacturer has their own implementation (a few share implementations). So, saying "wireless HDMI" doesn't mean anything unlike saying HDMI which is a standard.

Also many so-called Wireless HDMI setups use compressed video and audio as opposed to regular HDMI which uses uncompressed video and lossless audio. So you get worse picture quality than HDMI over many of these setups.
