Here's my situation:
I want to connect my PS3 and my soon-to-be PS4 to my computer monitor. I understand I'll need to use a HDMI switch to switch between the two inputs (PS3/PS4). My main problem right now is what to do about audio?
I currently have just the PS3 connected, and I'm using it's analog RCA audio output to connect to my speakers using a RCA to 3.5mm adapter. The audio from my PS3 is then connected to a 3.5mm switch, so I can use my speakers for both my PS3 and PC.
Is there anyway I can do this with the PS4 added into the system? I understand that the PS4 does not offer analog audio output, only HDMI and optical.
I was thinking, is there a way that I could split the audio signal from the HDMI inputs and output them either as RCA, 3.5mm or optical?
Would this product do the trick?
