I am looking for a 5 in-port (ideal) or 4 in-port HDMI switch that DOES NOT feature automatic input detection. I find the auto switching leads to more issues than it resolves, in my set up at least.

Has to be able to handle Full HD 1080p 60fps, at least 5.1 channel DTS HD, Dolby Digital HD, and LPCM. Remote operated and if it comes with a wired IR receiver so I can tuck it away in a cabinet that would be amazing.

I've scoured Amazon, but almost all of them do auto-switching or do not specify if they do or not.

Any suggestions and recommendations would be very appreciated.

Thanks!

I've looked at Monoprice. All the units they offer auto-switch.

How much are looking to spend. My guess, most units these days do some form of "autoswitching sex" cause that's what most are looking for... but as you figure... "autoswitching sex" without "protection" is not that great and more trouble than its worth... :-)

My suggestion would be go with the monoprice 4X2 matrix (~$60)... they basically can't do "auto switching sex" on matrix cause it would be tough to "predict" who want "sex" with whom... :-)

Our HDS5 can have its Smart SCAN feature easily disabled plus the latest version has a hard wired IR port - http://www.octavainc.com/HDMI%20switch%205port.htm
