Hope this is the right forum...

Looking to purchase a camcorder with HDMI out. My TV only has DVI in. My receiver has one open optical in for sound.

Is there a way to take the HDMI out from the camcorder and split the video into DVI-D and the sound into toslink for the receiver?

HDMI > DVI+Sound???

Better to want what you don't have, than to have what you don't want!

Yes. Our company has a converter that does just that, but converts to DVI-D and digital coax, not optical. It is the Model 1312.

If you need to convert to optical, you can use our 977TPO on the output of the 1312.
