Is it posible that an HDMI switcher can degrade picture quality, or becasue its all digitall (1s and 0s) its nt possible. Either it works 100% or doesnt work at all.

If the switch does change the bits going through you'll know right away.

Correct- there is are no conversions being done by a switch box- the digital signal is not affected.
