Greetings..I'm a newbie to this site...I need some help with an adapter question..I have IEEE-1394 (4 pin) coming out of my HS-HD2000U DVCR and wanting to take the signal into a Pioneer PDP-6020 HDTV. To my knowledge, the PDP-6020 has only HDMI or Component inputs for HD inputs...are there any inexpensive adapters available that would do this? Maybe there is another approach? Thanks for any help.
I have the fire wire IEEE 1394 to an adapter for DV input, but for some reason, I can't seem to get a driver so I can connect to my DVR. My main goal is to be able to play netflix video's on my TV. My TV is not HDTV ready, but the DVR has an up converter built in. OK, I may be a little too cheap to get that LCD TV yet, but I still need to figure this out so I can watch movies. Any Ideas or thoughts on what I might be doing wrong?
There are so many brand like JVC,Belkin available in the market from which you can easily get IEEE-1394 4 pin or 6 pin adapter at low cost between 2$ to 4$. As per my experience I suggest you to buy Belkin F3N401-06-ICE IEEE 1394 4-Pin/6-Pin 400 Mbps FireWire Cable (6 Feet), it provide better performance at low cost compared to other brands.
