I have been holding out for 4/6 when the instant rebate kicks in from LG, per this thread post : http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...4#post13430714
I was hoping the prices will fall lower than the current prices.
But it seems these players are getting scarce. Vanns had the lowest price on them and now they are out of stock and no longer carry it. CC and BB prices have jumped back to MSRP. I guess I should have bought one at the Vanns price.

Any other good deals out there for this great player?

cheers

Thanks for the reply. But unfortunately FotoConnection is a scam, I would stay away from them.

What about $549.95 plus shipping from Rainbow Appliance (Amazon StoreFront)?

or $559.95 including shipping from The TV Store (Price Grabber StoreFront)

I haven't ordered from either these so don't know much about them, ordered mine from Vanns.

Rebate?

Best Buy has been selling this for $599 for a few weeks, are you saying I should be able to buy it for $399 or is $599 the "instant rebate price".

It's $599 at Fry's here in Austin which is $100 more than the Panny BD-30.
$399 would be a steal--cheaper than E-bay pricing.

I paid $430 shipped for a new BH200 on Ebay, factory sealed and Jan. 08 build. Lots of good deals on the 'Bay, provided you find a seller with a solid feedback record (which goes without saying).

I'd be interested in this as well. BB does have it for $599. $200 rebate + a 12% off coupon I have a BB would make this $351.12!

I think that this was a rumor that didn't come true. When Toshiba did an instant rebate they had a press release...nothing from LG.

At no point in your rambling, incoherent post were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this forum is now dumber for having read it.

Unless someone else can find any evidence of this promo, I would have to agree. I have scoured the web and the Sunday newspaper promos this morning and couldn't find anything. However, Best Buy has the $599 sale price back on after removing it last week. Anyone have access to any Best Buy 10% or 12% off store coupons?

I bit today...with the Crutchfield $530 shipped deal, 30 day return for free with no questions asked...can't lose. At 47% off of original retail, you can't argue, either.

I think I may have found a way to get this for ~$406, and I'm tempted to give it a shot when I get home. First, apply for the Sony credit card that has a $100 credit on the first purchase of $300 or more (note that there is a separate offer that's only valid for SonyStyle store purchases). Use that card on the Crutchfield $530 special - $20 FatWallet coupon, + 1% FW Cash Back. It'll take a little while to get $104 back from Sony and FW, but it should work. Anybody have any experience with the Sony credit card refund? I know there's a thread on either FW or SlickDeals where people have had varying levels of success getting their $100 back from various places.

I thought the Sony credit card refund was only good on purchases of Sony products through an authorized dealer? Clearly not a Sony product.

IIRC, there is a version of the offer with no expiration date that is good for ANY purchase over $300 (not limited to Sony products or SonyStyle purchases). The thread on either SD or FW (I forget which) has people making $300 Amazon gift card purchases and getting the $100 credit applied within a few days with zero problems. Others have had to call and fight a bit, but they usually get it applied. It's a completely YMMV situation. I have the Sony application page and FW/SD thread bookmarked at home, which is why I was going to wait to do it there. I wanted to reread through everything first.

So how is that ebay LG working out for you? I've been thinking about going that route myself.

This will depend on your personal tastes, but start with "Cars". It's awesome. Half.com is your friend.

Crutchfield has dropped it's price to $449 or $429 after $20 off coupon.

Use coupon code 3A825 in your shopping cart in the "Special offer or catalog code" box. Valid through: May 31, 2008"
