They need also to add-back AVCHD/BD5/BD9 capability!
UPDATE: I used the Web Form on the LG Service "Contact Customer Service" page and actually got a response in little more than an hour!!!!!?!!?!! I must admit this is remarkable IMO. Anyway the response actually reflects a real person on the other end--something else that is remarkable!!!
"We are delighted to hear from you as our Valued Customer. I wasnt sure about this format and I have to escalate your question and unfortunately the unit wasnt design for this format, but if this option was on the previous update then you can roll back to the previous update. You wont have any problem doing so, if you just update to keep the software updated without having an issue. This question in particular will be send to the factory engineers. If you have other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us again either via email, or by calling our customer service division at 800-243-0000 at your convenience. OK not a Great response, but I can't help but be impressed nonetheless. She gave me a workaround and promised to send it along to the Far East.
Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus, er, I mean, there are human beings in LG Customer Service!
