I have a sony bravia 46 V 3000 lcd, and have had it set on vivid since I got it, I have seen some peoples preferred settings where they mention, in picture mode to pick custom, yet all I have is vivid, standard and cinema, also some have listed in picture to go up to near 80's yet I do not have that function when i go into the menu, though I have everything else, backlight, contrast, colour temperature etc, I just wanted to know if people had an answer for this, also I have a a Sony Blu ray player the BDP-S300, and was wondering would I be better to watch my bravia tv on Standard, and then when I put on my Blu ray switch it to vivid as this does tend to give it a huge lift visually, Anyone got any thoughts, advice, settings???

Help would be extremely appreciated

You can probably find discussion of your TV in the LCD Flat Panel section of this board. Your question is more about the TV than the Blu-Ray player.
